Synthetic Iron Ore Reference Materials
Calculate the composition of your iron ore samples with absolute certainty, using XRF Scientific synthetic iron ore reference materials. Based on years of practical experience in geological chemistry, our synthetic compounds are custom-built for calibrating X-ray fluorescence (XRF) spectrometers in mining and exploration. Our unique expertise yields a versatile product suitable for assessing various iron ores irrespective of mineralogical type.
XRF Scientific Reference Materials
Our proprietary synthetic iron ore reference materials are extremely high purity and compliant with ISO 9516-1:2003. Setting out a comprehensive procedural basis for wavelength-dispersive XRF analysis of various materials – including iron ores, ISO 9516 is an essential standard for synthetic iron ore reference materials.
The XRF Scientific iron ore calibration standard goes a step beyond the ISO method 9516 by adding sodium chloride (NaCl) to the chemical matrix. This addition was specifically requested by iron industry experts, to compensate for the method’s lack of silica (SiO2). The result is a certified reference material that exceeds the fundamentals of compliance, improving calibration reliability and ultimately analytical results.
